FAQs
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY VINYL DECAL ORDER?
We generally process a completed vinyl decal order within 3 to 5 business days and if going to a domestic address it will be shipped priority of 2 to 3 days. So estimated time to receive your vinyl decal in the USA is aprox one week from purchase.
International orders will be shipped First Class and delivery times vary by country. Please allow 2 to 6 weeks for International delivery.
WILL VINYL DECALS STICK TO TEXTURED WALLS?
Vinyl decals will stick to most slightly smooth textures. If your wall is heavily textured with pointy bumps or hard ridges then vinyl decals will probably not stick. We encourage anyone that will be applying vinyl decals to a textured wall to request a free test word.
I JUST PAINTED, CAN I INSTALL MY VINYL DECAL NOW?
We recommend that you wait 2-3 weeks for your newly painted surface to cure before applying your wall decal. If you live in a very humid area you may need to wait a little more. Even though the wall may feel dry to the touch, the paint may not be fully cured and early application can cause the wall decal to peel off and remove the paint.
WILL MY WALL DECAL HAVE A CLEAR BACKGROUND?
No. We only produce cut vinyl decals and they have no background like printed decals do. Cut vinyl decals are die-cut from pre-colored rolls of vinyl and after installation all that is left on your wall is the actual vinyl, your wall is the background. A cut vinyl decal gives the impression that the design has been painted onto the wall itself.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CUT VINYL DECAL AND A PRINTED VINYL DECAL?
CUT: A cut vinyl decal is cut with a computer generated program from a roll of solid colored vinyl. After the excess vinyl is removed, your decal is covered with transfer tape. This transfer tape will allow you to peel off the back of the decal and apply the decal to the wall. Cut vinyl decals have no background and once installed can appear to be hand painted. If your cut vinyl decal has multiple colors, your decal will be shipped in multiple pieces.
PRINTED: Printed decals are made by printing the design or illustration directly onto blank clear or white vinyl. They are then contour cut around the design and the blank part of the background will show between the lettering and or design after application.
ARE VINYL DECALS SUPPLIED IN ONE PIECE?
Unless specified in the listing description our wall decals will come in just one pre-spaced sheet. Some larger decals may come in several sheets, to make application easier. Multi-color decals will come in multiple sheets. We do have some kits that you cut apart individual vinyl graphics to install in any arrangement that you wish.
WHAT DOES PRE-SPACED MEAN?
Pre-spaced means that we do all the positioning and spacing of the letters, words and art for you. The decal arrives as a one piece sheet. You can install the decal as the pre-spaced sheet or you can cut it apart to create your own arrangement.
ARE VINYL DECALS REMOVABLE?
Yes! Our wall decals are completely removable. Just grasp the edge of the vinyl with your fingers or with a pair of tweezers and pull the vinyl downward slowly, removing it from the wall. If you find your vinyl is difficult to remove from the wall, heat it with a hair dryer until the adhesive begins to loosen. Peel it from the wall. Once the vinyl has been removed it will not apply to another surface.
ARE VINYL DECALS REUSABLE OR RE-POSITIONABLE?
No. Vinyl wall decals can be removed safely from your wall but will most likely stretch and tear during removal. Once the vinyl has been removed the self adhesive will not be sticky enough to apply to another surface. Wall decals are only suitable for one time application.
WILL VINYL DECALS DAMAGE MY WALLS?
All of our vinyl decals are made from industry recognized removable material and under normal wall conditions they are unlikely to damage the surface upon removal. However, since all surfaces vary, we cannot guarantee the condition of your wall and therefore cannot be responsible for paint loss or damage caused upon removal. It is recommended to test in an inconspicuous place first and we do offer a free test sample if you wish to try.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Some wall decals have small parts and could be small enough to become a choking hazard. When deciding where to place your wall decals we recommend placing them away from baby's bed or where they can be reached by baby or children under the age of three.
